Free Range Kids was born on the road somewhere between eloping, exploring, and chasing the sun with our little ones. During a three-month trip around Australia, we kept spotting the same roadside sign: “Slow down – free range kids.” It stopped us in our tracks every time. The more we saw it, the more it resonated.

Between beach stops, packing up the van, and moonlit swims, the idea for a children’s clothing brand began to take shape. As new parents, we naturally developed a love for kids' clothing but not just any kind. We wanted pieces that could keep up with the wild, messy, magical rhythm of childhood.

Free Range Kids quickly became more than just a name. It became a reflection of how we live and what we value: freedom, creativity, connection, and care.

We’re lucky to call Ocean Grove home, where the coastal landscape inspires us daily. Here, we design unisex pieces made to be worn, loved, played in, and passed down. Timeless and durable, just like the memories they’re made for.

By embracing ethical practices and sustainability wherever possible, we’re committed to designing pieces that withstand the adventures of even the most spirited little explorers. Through small-batch production, we strive to leave a gentle footprint on the planet.
